Default difference between identified future growth area and area of absolute skills shortage

    Hi All
kindly help me to understand these two areas,
    1. identified future growth area
    2. area of absolute skills shortage

I am assessing my immigration points for NZ, unable to understand about these two areas, when i searched my "ICT Business analyst" in Skill shortage list checker i found it in "List of skilled occupations" and "Long term skill shortage list".

what does it mean? is this referring to identified future growth area or area of absolute skills shortage.

    anyone, kindly help on this

    thanks
    Masood

If you have the offer of a skilled job in NZ (or are already working there) you can claim the bonus points for qualification and work experience (if it meets the regulations) under identified future growth area. If you HAVEN'T got a job, or offer, then you can claim the bonus points under absolute skills shortage (usually the same amount of points). Nobody can claim under both at once.

And no, the 'skilled occupations' and LTSSL are nothing to do with either.
