Question Broadband availability in a rural location

I'm contemplating a property about 100 km north of Auckland (Kaiwaka). I'm trying to check for broadband availability . . . or even satellite options if wired broadband is not available. Google doesn't seem to be turning up anything helpful. How do I find information on internet options outside of urban service areas?

if you go to the websites of different internet providers, they often have an address search function so you can see what services are available, eg
https://www.slingshot.co.nz/plans/broadband (scroll right to bottom of page)
    http://www.vodafone.co.nz/broadband/rural/

In a rural part of the Wairarapa we have friends who are still on dial up!
They've looked into satellite prevision but weren't convinced the coverage would be good enough to warrant the price difference.

We use a hotspot and an aerial from http://www.cellutronics.co.nz/ for our internet.

My in-laws switched from Spark's super snoozy rural broadband "ADSL" (about double dial-up speed) to Vodafone's "3G" plan a few months ago. It is faster, but they still don't get anywhere near 3G speed and it's capped at 30GB of data per month ($10 for each extra 1GB). They're 40km north of Auckland, though.

Thanks everyone. Doesn't sound too bad.
In case you're grumpy about broadband in NZ, I'm 10 miles away from a major university in the US (UF) and am stuck using an abysmal satellite service . .. so slow that a 2 minute U-tube clip can take 6 or 10 minutes to watch and capped at 10 Gbytes. For this I pay $US59/mo (about $NZ90). 3G is available, but it's slower and a bit more expensive.
