Medical certificate by partnership based visa

Hi there,

i need some help with my application. I will apply for a partnership based work visa. And my question is , is it possible to apply for 1 year visa and to extend it in NZ? Not sure what the Immigration would say if they see that my husband has a 2 year visa. Hope someone can follow me In the section C are 2 options , i should tick one of them . Will i stay longer then 12 months in NZ or not. Yes i will but i don't want make the medical examination here. I think it takes to much time.

I don't think you will get away with asking for a one-year visa, just to dodge doing the medical. As you think yourself, INZ will know you intend to stay longer because of your husband's visa. They are pretty experienced at spotting the loopholes people try to get through.

Ok i done my medical certificate but my husbands visa is extend only for 1 year. Now i'm note sure if still can tick the option "i will stay longer than 12 months in NZ" on my application. I definitely will stay longer in NZ , my husband will ask for a recidency next year. Sorry for so many questions.

Yes, you can tick that, because it is your intention. If INZ ask why you ticked it, you explain like you just did in your post.
