    Default ICT support

    Hi,

I am currently working as a tech support rep for a telecommunications company. my company is ready to sponsor my residency but i have studied in software development level 7 while my current job in related to networking. Does it matter if your subjects dont match from the qualification you did but your fields match?

I am currently on a 2 year visa sponsered by the company i work for.

    Cheers
    Kush

I'm sure your qualification should have at least a few papers related to networking and a lot of paper related to software development. Even if no, the course content should have at least some aspects related to networking. You can argue that the knowledge from the qualification is necessary for the job.

The fact that you gained the 2 year work visa means INZ considered your qualification is directly relevant to the job.

I think you should do some research to nominate the most appropriate ANZSCO job, and try to match it with your job descriptions. Then you argue how well your qualification and experience fit the job.
