Working in NZ
Hello everyone,
I was born in NZ but left when I was four. I am now 43 and am planning on returning to NZ in 2016/17.
Tauranga, Bay of Plenty.
I should be able to buy mortgage free but still want to work.
Could anybody give me any advise on what the building industry is like in that area, (good/bad)
I am a plasterer and would look to continue in the trade, hopefully at a slower pace.
I do appreciate any help.
Thank you.

Am I right to assume that you're a NZ citizen?

I don't have detailed knowledge myself - I was asking so that anyone in the business reading this would have a clear idea of your situation.
And are you hoping to go and live back in Tauranga, or are you open to working in other places, too? For instance, there is a lot of work for all building trades currently in Christchurch, because the rebuild is still ongoing.

Wow, I didn't realise Christchurch were still busy. I would concidor somewhere else, Tauranga was just a starting point because I had a friend there who has since moved back to the Uk (not his choice).
Also I heard NZ were developing Tauranga. Updating infrastructure and the shipping port. It seems they have released a lot of land for development as well.
Have you heard anything along those lines.
