QUALIFICATION:
My husband has PhD in Sociology, and the specialization is in demographer. He claimed bonus point for his qualification in absolute areas as Statistician (Fisheries Modeller). As from ANZSCO, Statistician has 3 specializations, among which Demographer is one specialization.
224113 STATISTICIAN
Specialisations:
Biometrician
Demographer
Epidemiologist
However, demographer is not written in his Degree (only sociology). IO does not beleive my husband is a Statistician by training. We are trying to do these two things:
- A letter from the supervisor or school confirm about his training is Demographer
- Point out all courses he had done in Master and PhD related to Demographer and Sattisitican

Please suggest if there is any other way to prove his qualification?

OCCUPATION
He had been working over 10 years as a Demographer. Even the job title is Researcher/ Deputy head of Demographer research Unit, they do not count it as Statistician.
I can only think of because my husband has not provide INZ with a job description, which is match with ANZSCO Statistician 224113. Do you think this is the reason they donot accept his job as Statistician?

Now he is obtaining job description from his employers. Is there any other thing we should submit to be able to persuade IO about his qualification and Occupation?
I appreciate any suggestions and comments...
