Change to INZ fees
There has been an announcement today in the News section of the INZ website (http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migra...evychanges.htm) about changes to fee structure. The details are not finally confirmed yet, but is likely to take effect from December 2015. One of the main differences is that the Migrant Levy will be charged per application at the time of application and will apply to temporary visas as well. I have done a quick analysis of the impact. Worst hit are single people currently on a Work to Residence visa applying for residence from Work. the $92 discount will stop and the increase in fees means that the new fee will be 35% higher than now. Conversely, families of 4 applying for SMC residence, couples applying for Parent Category and similar will see a decrease in fees of up to 25%. If your application is already submitted, this will not affect you!
