SMC JSV Job Search
hi all,
Please advise if we can inform about our SMC JSV and pending SMC application with the organisation.
Is there any salary requirement and job type (Contract/fixed term/permanent) to have a successful SMC?
Appreciate your feedback

I'm assuming this is related to your previous post here. http://www.enz.org/forum/showthread....601#post526601
To be able to comment about the likelihood of getting SMC on the provisioning coordinator's job, people would need to see his job description, to compare it with the ANZSCO roles you have mentioned there - 225499 - Technical Sales Representative NEC and 313112 - ICT Customer Support Officer.
As to what you need, you have to be able to show a job description and contract that meets the requirements given here http://www.immigration.govt.nz/opsmanual/30545.htm at SM7.10 and SM7.15. The salary has to be in line with what is normal in that area for a position of that level in the industry - so, compare it with what other people are being offered in job adverts, etc., or a listing of salary norms. The contract needs to be permanent or long-term (12 months or longer, and if it is 12 months, INZ normally ask to see proof that there will be more work to follow on). Repeated short-term contract work is only acceptable if it's normal for the industry, if the person has been in the habit of working like that, and if there is demonstrably plenty of work around - and quite honestly, it's difficult to get residence on that basis.

Thank you JandM for the details.
There is no specific ANZSCO for given role. Thus we had to mention - 225499 - Technical Sales Representative NEC and 313112 - ICT Customer Support Officer.
Entire job description of above two ANZSCO's do not match with the current profile, for which the SMC is deferred for now. And searching for another ICT role which is in short skilled list and matches the job description.
I will check against SM7.10 and SM7.15 again.

While searching job/ attending job interviews, are we allowed to inform the employers that we have SMC application in progress. Just want to be aware if it legal or we better not disclose.
