Default CO said I should receive further update towards the end of this month.

CO is still waiting for MA's report after she had sent my full blood count to MA last Oct28. I also sent my old specialist report dated 2011 that my medical condition is dismissed to CO a week ago and she forwarded it to MA.
Anybody who can guess about the further update? Will it likely be 2nd person check or a decision?
    Thanks heaps.

All the part about the referred medical is just ONE part of the processing of your case. What comes next, even after the decision comes back from the MA, will depend on what the CO has done about verifying your other evidence so far. It might be that she is still waiting for replies from other people about your qualifications, or your work experience, when the medical comes back. On the other hand, she might have got all that done, and be ONLY waiting for the MA's okay. Either way, it certainly won't be a decision you get told about next, because she can't send the case for 2pc until after the medical has been passed. You'll still have to wait for 2pc, at least.

    Thanks JandM.

Gathering some testimonials from friends who had been successful with their SMC applications most of them said the medical was the last hurdle they had. I'm starting to believe, logically speaking, why CO still ask for medical to be referred to MA if I still have a newly approved Work visa 7 months ago valid until May 2017. What I mean is whether MA's response is positive or negative, either or, if CO thought in the 1st place the application shall be declined no matter what, then what for is the purpose of medical being referred to MA, what for is the waiting time? CO can just decline my SMC application right now so I can continue on with my job with the peace of mind rather than waste time waitin for MA's response.

Others would say after their employer sent the answered questionnaire to CO about their Skilled Employment, in just a matter of week or 2 their residency is approved. My employer told me he has sent CO's questionnaire about my Skilled Job last Oct23. Reading between the timeframe without hearing any questions from CO about my skilled job gives me the assumption that she has been satisfied with my employment documentation. Thinking positive here.

Also, if ever I will not be given points as doing a skilled job I will still have 105points remaning. Is it true that as long as I still meet the minimum threshold in EOI I will be further assessed if I can successfully settle and contribute to the economy of NZ?

Thanks JandM. Kudos to your help.

I understand that you are listening to the positive stories that come from your friends, and good for you for keeping your spirits up. However, what happens to one person's case can never be a guarantee of what will happen in another's.

The CO isn't entitled or empowered by INZ to think "in the 1st place the application shall be declined no matter what" - s/he is obliged to gather verifications of ALL the evidence, and only make a decision when it is all assembled.

SMC is for skilled migrants. The EOI will be selected with at least 140 points for someone without a skilled job in NZ - that is, their qualifications and work experience have to be at a level that can get them those points. Someone with a skilled job in NZ only has to show qualifications and work experience to get them at least 100. The job has to meet the various rules given here. http://www.immigration.govt.nz/opsmanual/30545.htm

However, considering you've already got a work visa on the basis of this job, it seems fairly unlikely that there should be any problem with it.

You mean if I have 195 points at the moment and they didn't honor my job as skilled and of course outside Auckland when it gone down to 105 points they won't longer do further assessment of me if I can successfully settle and contribute to NZ? My 105 points are from my work experience and qualifications.

    Thanks in advance JandM.

Why do you think they won't accept your job as skilled?

There are couple of things I really don't do in ANZSCO like loan management, taxation, monitoring market activity, debt management which are in the Dairy industry in New Zealand farm owners don't appoint Herd Managers/ 2 IC to carry these tasks, they hire accountants or they do these themselves. Also, I'm afraid CO will not be convinced I'm doing a skilled job because I don't perform 2 tasks out of 10 tasks in ANZSCO. The 2 tasks in reality are ridiculous questions I suppose. Moreover, I've just been working for 5 months with this employer.

But you're looking at the list of activities that CAN arise for anyone in the whole of that general list of 'Livestock Farmers'. When you go down to the specific one for the job you do, there's no mention of those.
Plans, organises, controls, coordinates and performs farming operations to breed and raise dairy cattle for milk, meat and breeding stock.

Hi JandM. Please see below about the tasks. INZ is very strict with this they assess it piece by piece. I know a lot who are dairy managers and don't do one or two or these tasks who had been declined under SMC.
LIVESTOCK FARMERS plan, organise, control, coordinate and perform farming operations to breed and raise livestock.

    In Australia and New Zealand:

At least five years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification. In some instances relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to the formal qualification (ANZSCO Skill Level 1).

Yes, that is the general list I mentioned above, that covers ALL farmers. There are things on there that no cattle herd manager is going to do, such as (just one for instance) things to do with honey and wool.

However, I don't think anything anyone says is going to stop you worrying about this, except INZ. Good luck, and I hope you get a good response soon.
