    Default Pending Residency Application

    Hello Everyone,

    Here are my details,

    EOI selection - 31/03/2015
    Application pack received - 9/04/2015
    Application sent -29/06/2015
    Case officer assigned - 23/07/2015
    Case officer contacted -23/07/2015
Required information sent -23/07/2015 (bank statements and IRD statements)
    Employer(current and previous) contacted -23/07/2015
Information sent on the same day

    No update until 17/11/2015
    Case officer changed on 17/11/2015

My question is , CO emailed me on 23/07/2015 that i can expect my application to be finalised within 2 months but it has been more than 5 months but still no update! They just reply with the generic email saying the application is still under progress. Shall i ask them why the timeframe was given for 2 months if it is still pending after 5 months ?

Also, my case officer resigned and they assigned a new case officer to my application. Is she going to start the process from the stratch? The new case officer told me that she will check all the correspondence and do further assessment of my application.

Btw the brance is queen street.

    Thanks in advance
    Ankit

There is no point in asking why it took longer than they thought - it took longer than they thought, is all anyone can say.

No INZ pronouncement about timing can be taken as a promise - it's a hopeful guess, based on recent averages, and can be wrong.

All INZ COs document what work they do on a case as they go along, so that if they get transferred or leave, the next CO taking on the case can see what has already been done and go on from that point. They do not need to start again, only to familiarize themself with what still remains to be done.

Dont worry Ankit, They have their own timeframes and a lot of other constraints.... So patience is the key...
