Hi all

My wife and I are in the process of applying for a skilled migrant visa through the london office. Due to the long time period between application being logged and a case officer being assigned to us (have been told 6 months is likely), we applied for a working holiday visa. The idea of this was to visit, travel and possibly find work to speed up our other application / find work for once (if) the application is approved.

However we have recieved the email below:

Was hoping for some advice as to whether others have tried taking this route into new zealand and if it worked for them ????

Thank you for your application for a work visa - United Kingdom Working Holiday Scheme. We received your application on 01 December 2015.

Our assessment of your application
We have completed an assessment of your application and have identified the following issues which may have a negative impact on the outcome of your application:
As noted below under instruction W12.1.1a the primary intention of a working holiday is to holiday in New Zealand. You currently have a residence application in processing. Clearly your intention is to live in New Zealand and not to holiday.
WI2.1 Requirements for all working holiday scheme applicants
As well as meeting the specific requirements for the relevant working holiday scheme, applicants must also meet the requirements under Generic Temporary Entry Instructions, and the conditions below.
WI2.1.1 General conditions
a. The objective of working holiday schemes is to allow young citizens of approved countries, whose primary intention is to holiday in New Zealand, to undertake employment and study during their stay in accordance with their scheme.

As the issues detailed above may affect the outcome of your application, we are bringing them to your attention out of fairness to you.

We have not made a decision on your application at this stage. This letter gives you the opportunity to make any comments and submit any additional evidence or information in relation to these issues.
