Residency Application Declined under Skilled Migrant Category

Hi Guys,

Our residency application is declined under skilled migrant category. Reason stated as your role is not substantial match to ANZSCO requirements. Our CO agreed with on all points accept 2-3 point. She send us a PPI letter and we replied with all the required documents but still declined the application. However we have an option to appeal. Not sure what to do please advice ASAP.

We have Work Visa until March 2016. Confused on what to do? Should we apply fro work visa? Residency application will have any effect on it?

Oh, mine is ITC Business ANalyst also and I'm going to send my ITA. Can you please share with me your role/job description that you sent to INZ? Actually I feel worried too, because the BA role in real life involves a lot more things than what is described on ANZSCO.

BTW, what is you job title ? Is it IT Business Analyst?

Also, you mentioned you had a work visa going expire in Mar 2016. So did INZ give you work visa instead or you already had it before applying for residence?

On your last point - we here on the forum are ordinary members of the public, and NZ law does not allow us to ADVISE one another. If you want someone to tell you what to do, you need to consult an immigration lawyer or Licensed Immigration Adviser. (There are two LIAs who post here, ChrisMwn and Karen Phillips. Either of those will answer open questions, and you can ask them in private by using the PM system when once you have made five posts on any threads - they won't get into doing work they would have to charge for without notifying you first.)

On the rest of it, sympathies for the situation you find yourselves in. It must be SO frustrating.
