visa getting delayed(employer assisted)

Hi everyone,

please can some one say me I applied my work visa employer assisted on nov 10. But if i called to immigration they say its still in process.my job is in skills shortage.whenever i call to immigration they say its still in process and all documents has been recieved but its crossed the 25 days processing time.what would be the problem? some one answer this would be very much helpfull.

Everything at the INZ office is dealt with in date-ordered queues, so your case will be waiting in line. When all the other applications that were submitted to that office just before yours have been processed, then it will be the turn of your file to have attention. All INZ's timings are always just their best guess based on recent averages, never a promise.

Hi, I have the same experience, essential skilled too. I lodge application since 30 Nov. Since then I never heard or received anything or was ask for more documents. Now it's on the 24th day. I dont make follow up eversince
should I do follow up at this time?

There is no PROMISE that your case will be finished with in 25 days. That timing is just an estimate based on averages. If you call and ask what is going on with your application, that will not hurry matters at all. Until the moment INZ has something to tell you, all anyone will be able to say is that your case is pending - and you know that anyway.

hey hi visa approved on dec 21st.. if yours is not approved before 24th dec then ur visa will get approved after jan 10th..

Thank ou for the response.. visa approved on dec 21.. one more query? whether birth certificate is compulsory to apply nz residency?
