Dependent Work visa for spouse when i am on student visa

Hello,

I have applied for level 8 course (post graduate diploma) in New Zealand.

if am successful in getting a student visa,will my husband will be give a dependent work visa for same duration.

My husband has already applied for a SMC visa ,but it is stuck in pool of EOI because of lack of points.With a little of hope of it getting picked up.

Will this in any way effect the chances of my husband getting dependent work visa considering him to be a potential immigrant.

We are got married in Oct 2013 and we have a 1 year old kid.

I have my brother in New Zealand who is PR holder and is willing to sponsor my education, will it be wise to take his sponsor.

If your course meets the requirements, and you and your husband can provide the necessary evidence stated here. http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migra...milystream.htm This would include evidence of finances to support him.

No. Every application is considered on its own merits.

It might be an advantage to YOU, but these days, sponsorship is a VERY wide-reaching commitment, even covering medical expenses and travel http://www.immigration.govt.nz/NR/rd.../0/INZ1014.pdf - the sponsor can't any longer limit what kind of expenses s/he is willing to cover, but has to take on the lot if necessary - so your brother should probably think this through very carefully. It has been known for the legal side of this kind of arrangement to spoil family relationships, which is a great pity if it happens.
