SMC Approved > Moving for the First Time to NZ without Family

I was recently approved for residence under SMC. I was wondering if I can move to NZ first (as the main applicant) without my partner. I will stay for couple of weeks before going back and then return to NZ all together.

I searched the immigration website but I did not find an answer on whether we as a family must land in NZ together to activate our visas or if I can move first alone before returning with my family.

Any ideas?

each family member has a visa. You can arrive in NZ whenever you like, s long as it is before the expiry date of the visa(12 months after initial visa. Each family member can arrive separately.
