Am I allowed to call my CO?

I have been issued a letter of potentially prejudicial information regarding my Englishl language proof. I had submitted ielts score 6 report, university letter and singaporr Employment details.

Is that ok to call the CO to ask for some clarification?
Co has given me the number to call if needed.
Has anyone called your CO ? And for what purpose.

Your replies will help me assess my chances of calling my CO.
