    Hi Guys,
one of my friend got residency on partnership based. if her partner left him can he get someone else and get marry. Can he sponsor her or he have to wait for 5 years. Because according to my knowledge only those person who sponsor somebody else to get his/her residency they can't sponsor again for next 5 years. if any rules change I just want to know.

No s/he will not be able to sponsor someone else for 5 years from the date the residence visa was granted.

If a sponsor was a successful principal applicant on the basis of partnership with a New Zealand citizen or resident, they will not be considered eligible unless:
at least five years has elapsed since the date they were granted residence on the basis of the partnership
    and
they have not supported or sponsored any other successful principal applicant on the basis of partnership.

Neither the partner who got residence because they were sponsored by a partner, nor the partner who did the sponsoring, can be involved in another sponsorship until five years later.

Also, nobody can sponsor more than twice in their life.
