    Default forgotten ird number

    I lived in Nz about 20 years ago and sadly had to leave to sort out family dramas back in the UK, I am now returning permanently as I am lucky enough to have a passport. But I have lost my IRD number , many moons ago methinks. The govt website is mindboggling. When I return in May is there an easier way to retrieve it or get a new one before I arrive as I am planning to be working.

    Just phone the Ird. They're really helpful and will sort it out for you (the number linked above isn't actually the Ird so I wouldn't phone them personally)
