Default Emergency travel back to UK- PASSPORT AND VISAS

    hI THERE

I am a Permanent Resident in NZ and have lived here over 10 years. My passport has expired and has been sent back to the UK for renewal.
Unfortunately my father passed away yesterday unexpectedly and I need to go home for the funeral. I think I can probably get an emergency travel document from the British High Commission in Wellington cos I don't think my new passport will be returned in time.

I am also concerned that my emergence travel document will not have any visas in it and whether this will be a problem when I return to NZ.

Has anyone else been through something similar ? What did you do ?

    Thanks

You should be able to get a new PRV issued in London. How long will you be back in the UK for? Can you get your new passport redirected there? INZ will probabaly do that "over the counter" if you visit them? or may have to contact VAC in London? if you were to try to travel back without a PRV, then they would be asking for an outward ticket when you go to checkin on your way back.
