    Exclamation open work visa for student?

    Hi Guys,
    One of my friend doing studies in NZ. He did his level 5 in IT but he wants to change his stream now. He wants to do welding course level 3 & 4 which is approx. 10 months for both levels. I am just wondering will he get his visa to do that studies? and after completing studies will he get his open work visa for a year? which you usually get after studied 2 full year studies.?
