I applied for residency on 5th January 2016. I got letter from my immigration on 8th Jan 2016 saying that they will allocate me one of immigration officer in one week. But no visa officer allocated till now.

Just in 1 week :-s I applied in mid Dec and got no officer until now

Yea, my application is in henderson branch. I called immigration nz and they told me to cantact the branch.

It is MOST unusual for anyone's case to be allocated to a CO within such a short space of time.

My CO was allocated 2 weeks ago. Some extra documents were requested from me, an my employer received questionnaire. Everything sent after 2 days.
No updates.
I know it will take time because my CO doesn't only process my case, she has probably 10-15 other applications on her hand at one time. I assume she only read the questionnaire 1 week after my employer sent it back.

Someone suggested that they check questionnaire only after the due date

Hopefully I will get a CO soon. It's been nearly three months now.
