SMC in Wellington Branch

Hi everyone

Is there anyone allocated to Wellington Branch for SMC? My application has been received by the branch on 2/2/2016, my original documents have not been returned yet. Not sure how long it takes for me to be allocated a co.

My friend has an immigration agent and lodged his SMC application on 18/2/2016. By 24/2/2016, his case were transferred to Henderson Branch.

Does anyone know on what circumstance the case would be transferred to Auckland?

I applied SMC in Wellington without agent. My friend applied in Palmerston North with agent.

I guess it might be because of balancing of workload at different branches. Anyway, only a guess.

It happened to my application as well. Docs were submitted to Wellington branch on 8 December, then it was moved to Henderson branch. I agree with KandT, they move applications to other branch to balance the workload.

Do you have an agent or you apply by yourself?

I applied by myself.
According to INZ, it would take 2-4 months to be allocated to a CO. It can be more or less, of course, but that's the estimate.

On shore cases represented by Advisers are dealt with at Henderson regardless of where they are lodged.
