passport expiry

Hi all,
I need some help. My husband is a Resident in Nz and his passport is getting expired in a month's time. He has Indian passport. How can he apply for new passport and get the resident sticker on the new passport? Please give me some help.

sorry for butting in on this thread, I have the same problem I sent the passports to renew, they sent back asking for some corrections to the documents, it might take 6 to 8 weeks to get new passports and that even is not guaranteed if they find one missing signature or print they will send back and that wastes 4 weeks. I already have approval in principle, is there a solution? can I get the approved residency stamped somewhere without passports???

you have 6 months from the date of approval in principle to provide your passport for issue of the visa.
