Default Police checks - Maiden Name & current name.

There was a mention that if you are know by another name , please get your police check for "every" name.

Now my maiden surname was different from my current surname (First name remains the same )

Does this mean, I need to get the police clearance both for my maiden name and current name. I ask because India police clearance is generally given on the current name, which i assume should be the case with most countries.

Can someone guide here please ?

No you don't. The IHC Miscellaneous consular services form to apply for your PC asks for your name as per passport, plus mother, fathers and spouses name.

This isn't quite right in our experience. We had to get a police certificate in both my wife's married name and maiden name in one of our countries, as she had lived there both before and after being married.
