    Default If i leave nz, would my residence application be suspended?

    Hi Everyone

    I have been patiently waiting for the outcome of my SMC residence application which was lodged in November 2015 at the Central Auckland Branch. I have to go overseas for three weeks. I am currently on a student visa that expires towards the end of 2017. I hope my application wouldn't be put on hold while I am away.

    No it wont, particularly if you have no Case Officer as yet. if you did have then drop them an email saying you are going away for 3 weeks only, returning on xxx date
