    Default Partner residence travel conditions?

    Hi

    I'm an expat kiwi and partner is currently applying for a partnership residence.

    Will there be travel conditions with this type of visa?

    Will he need to apply for a permanent residence after 2 years?

    Yes, and yes, unless you have been living overseas with your partner for five years or more, in which case INZ will sometimes give PR immediately.
