    Unhappy Medical: Hep C

I am applying a visitor visa in NZ, so I went to do the immigration medical tests. And the result came out shows that I am hep c positive. The penal doctor now referred me to the specialist.
1). What tests should I do further.
2). Does having hep c means visa decline?

I am so depress, I don't know where did I get this stupid thing from as I never do drugs and accept blood transfusion.

Sorry to hear this - it must have been an unpleasant shock.

In someone applying for Residence, one disease listed as a 'no' http://www.immigration.govt.nz/opsmanual/46506.htm is Hepatitis C-RNA positive and meeting criteria for anti-viral treatment in New Zealand. I think you are going to have to wait to see what the specialist says about your condition before you can make any solid plans.

It will also be up to the specialist to tell you what other tests or treatment you are going to need - anything anybody else has had won't necessarily apply to you. There is more about treatment here. http://www.nhs.uk/conditions/Hepatit...roduction.aspx

    hello, thanks for your reply.
Yea, I have read lots of posts about hep c and work visa & residency application. So I'm not sure about visitor and student visa.

Here http://www.immigration.govt.nz/opsmanual/44856.htm are the regulations about health requirements for temporary entry. It looks to me as though you could potentially come under A4.15 i and ii, depending what the specialist discovers, so I don't think there's any chance INZ would allow you into the country until this further medical opinion has come through, to make it clear exactly what treatment you now need, and what if any risk you are to other people.
