Hi mac_555,
CO asked my current employer contact details (HR/Manager). He mailed them to verify about my employment details.
Is your CO interview over? I just finished mine. Waiting for decision.
Nahh they did'nt ask for P.interview
just asked emp contact.
Wt excatly they asked you employer ?
They ask you exactly what your responsibilities at work are. They want to check that you say the same as what your employer said, and that both match up with the ANZSCO description.
Thanks JandM for quick reply!!!
Hi,
Following are the questions my CO asked to my former employer. I got them as he is my close friend too. These are the exact questions.
- The date <YOUR_NAME> started working for your company.
- The date <YOUR_NAME> finished working for your company (if applicable).
- The position(s) he held during her employment (please outline dates the he had progressed through roles - if applicable).
- How many hours, on average, did he work per week?
- Can you describe his tasks and duties in the company with each position/role that he has held?
- Please advise the primary language used in the work place to undertake duties and communicate.
- Your name and role in the company.
Hope this will help
Thanks Guys !
jandm - Is this a positive sign ? CO only asking for your employer email ? and not planning to interview me ?
what you reckon ?
I know you want to read the future (!), but sorry, I don't see this as a sign of anything in particular. The CO wants to contact your employer at the moment, so he's asked for those contact details. He could still decide to talk to you after he's been in touch with the employer. Or else (particularly if your employer has been checked out by INZ in the past, or is a well-known company), he may be satisfied with what the employer provides, and not interview you.
Hi pathfinder009,
Sorry for the delay reply.
CO was asking me abt NZ culture and ppl, Job skills, Job search efforts, hobbies, house rent details, buying residential properties, my surviving skills in NZ.
You can easily answer. All the best!
