    Default Medical

    Hi

My wife have applied partnership based visitor visa to come to NZ. She had twice blood test and both the time platelets ( 70K and then 50K ) are low. She is very fit and healthy, no flue, no infection, not taking any medicines which can effect platelets. Now, case office have refereed the medical to medical accessor in NZ.

My question is that, can she get this visa while having low platelets? She went to her GP and they told them, nothing is serious about low platelets.

INZ can't get the visa until the Medical Assessor reports back to INZ that she has an Acceptable Standard of Health (ASH). With the GP saying she is in good health, there shouldn't be a problem - it's just a matter of waiting for the formalities.
