Now a Resident...Work Visa Refund???

I was recently approved for my Residency Visa!! Yah!!

I was on a work visa, partnership based. While I was awaiting my approval for my residency, my work visa was about to expire and I had to apply for another one (March 2016) and pay the $430 fee, even though I just needed to visa for 6 weeks as now I am a resident.

My question is: Am I eligible for a partial refund from my work visa since I only used it for 6 weeks out of 24 months? I never thought this was even an option but my friends were refunded a partial amount in the same situation a couple years ago.

I've never been ver heard of a refund being given after an application has been processed and visa issue. It's not a month by month fee but rather an application fee
