    Default How long till CO is assigned??

    Phoned immigration today and they now saying my application hasn't been allocated to a CO yet. It's been 2 and a half weeks since I submitted. Does it normally take that long? This is ridiculous

    Do you apply for temporary visa or resident visa?
    2 and a half week, or 18 days, is nothing.
    For resident visa it takes 2-3 months just for a CO to be allocated.

    No this is for a work visa.

    Which branch did you submit your application?
    For temporary work visa most branches have a target of 25 days, so your 18 days is still not exceeding their time frame though.

    Once the CO is allocated you will have the answer. In my case... I applied the 19/10 and 19/11 I received the response. I know is horrible the waiting... but if all the documents for you work visa are in order, you will receive your response same day that the CO open you file!
