SMC - Am I ready to apply: Seeking help

Hi Everyone,

First of all, this seems to be a great forum everyone is so co-operative.

I need help to understand what my next step (to apply for SMC PR) should be based on below details:

My details:

IQA Applied: 27 Nov 2015
Result received: 20 May 2016 (NZQA LEVEL 7)

Occupational goals: I am looking forward to make a career in NZ as ICT Security Specialist (262112) and/or Systems Administrator (262113) as per the Long term skill shortage list (LTSSL)

Qualification: I need to be able to show relevant qualification i.e. - Bachelor of Commerce (Computer Science) or (Information Management) or (Information Systems) or (Information Science) (NZQF Level 7) -

Note: My bachelors degree (Bachelor of Commerce (Computer Science)) has been declared as Level 7 by NZQA

Points: My applicable areas of scoring (as per points calculator) followed by Points in each section:

Work experience of 9 years: 25 Points (10th year of work experience running now, in my home country)
Bonus Points for my Work Experience - Work experience in a NZ future growth area - 6 years or more: 15 Points (My work exp. falls in this category per LTSSL)
Bonus Points for my Work Experience - Work experience in a NZ area of absolute skill shortage - 6 years or more: 15 Points (My work exp. falls in this category per LTSSL)
Qualifications: Recognised basic qualifications (my Bachelors degree): 50 Points (My qualfication is declared as NZQA Level 7)
Bonus Points for my Qualification in an area of absolute skills shortage: 10 Points (My work exp. falls in this category per LTSSL)
Bonus Points for my Qualification in an identified future growth area: 10 Points (My work exp. falls in this category per LTSSL)
My Age: 20-29 category: 30 Points

ANTICIPATED TOTAL SCORE: 155 Points

My doubts are:
1. Are my above qualifications good to apply for SMC?
2. What should my next step be?

Please advise, appreciate your inputs.

I doubt you can claim for Bonus Points for my Work Experience - Work experience in a NZ future growth area - 6 years or more
unless you have a skilled employment or an offer of skilled employment from New Zealand.

In page 15 of https://www.immigration.govt.nz/docu...s/inz1105.pdf:

Evidence of my work experience in an identified future growth area
You may gain bonus points for work experience in an identified future growth area if you have been
awarded points for current skilled employment or an offer of skilled employment in an identified
future growth area, and your work experience is considered relevant to that employment.

You may want to refer to page 11 - Section G to get more information on 'current skilled employment' and 'an offer of skilled employment'.

If my assumption is correct, you point will go down to 140. Anyone have different view?
