Citizenship time line

Hi everyone,
I will be applying for citizenship in the next 4.5 months and was wondering if there are a few recent examples of time lines for those applying in Auckland.
(I live in Titirangi, so i'm guessing citizenship ceremony will be Henderson)
Would doing the meeting where they check your application and take payment immediately expedite this at all, as opposed to posting in application form etc.

I am hoping to hit the Cook Islands for my big 4-0 (Early March)

Anyone with recent citizenship experience? I've heard the time police character checks have vastly improved? Please let me know of recent timelines for citizenship.

Hi my sister applied on 18th Aug 2016 and got approved on 7th October 2016. Waiting for ceremony letter to come through and that is in Nelson(south island)
