Hi Team

I'm a supervisor/team leader for a company in Christchurch and manage rosters and staff hours.

We employ part time students to work a few days a week and to help them immerse into New Zealand workforce and work with others such as Kiwis or different cultures.

I understand students (but not all) can work a maximum of 20 hours per week and this can be fulltime during term holidays.
One of my staff has gone over the 20 hour mark (I think 40 hours per fortnight) as we do two 10 hour shifts for them.

This is the first time this has happened at our company and will not happen again but what happens if Immigration NZ find out and it purely is a one off and accident?

If any one has experience in this situation please let me know.
