Documents required to receive gift from Abroad

Hi there

My parents are planning to transfer some money from India to me as a gift to help me buy a house

It will be a direct transfer from their bank in India to my bank account in NZ by TT

Are there any documents required to show that the money has been recieved by me as gift and whether any declaration has to be made to the IRD in my tax return

Also is there any legal forum in Wellington where I can get free advice on this issue
