Default Secondary Applicant to travel Later

    Hi

We recently got our visa under SMC category with a condition as follows "you must travel to New Zealand before 18/06/2017".
Now I have small question related to that, can a Primary applicant alone travel within the mentioned time frame and secondary applicant travelling after 18/06/2017. Is visa still valid for both of us?

each person included in the application will have their own visa. they are free to travel (withing the validity of that visa) at any time. You don't need to travel as a family group. A person cant arrive after the expiry date of the visa.

Both applicants must enter the country before the stated date. If the secondary applicant has unfinished business in their original country that they still need to attend to, they can leave NZ straight away afterwards if they wish, but each person's visa MUST be activated by being presented at Immigration at the NZ airport of arrival, or else their visa will lapse.
