Correct way to fill Passport details : Earliest to Latest or Vice vera

Hi there

I know it is irrelevant but just as a matter of curiosity, whats the correct way of filling Passport details by a person who has had several passports in Visa applications ?

The Latest and current passport comes first and the go down serial wise to previous passports or vice versa ?
