Variation of Visa

Hi Everyone,

I am confused. I am currently on Essential skills Work Visa and just got hold of my NZRN license. My current visa condition specifies that I work as a caregiver in a particular hospital only. Now, the same hospital is hiring me as an RN. Do I have to apply for visa variation or can I directly apply for residence visa? or skilled migrant visa? What is the best option? I have been here in New Zealnad for more than 2 years already.

Probably the quickest way to do the formalities is to get the variation of conditions on your existing visa, which you need before you work in your new job.

You could also now apply for Residence under the Skilled Migrant Category - that's the same as one another.
