    Default Interim Visa

    Hi guys

I've noticed the posts about Work Visa's taking longer to come through at the minute due to awaiting Police Checks.

Can anyone tell me at what point do INZ issue an Interim Visa?

    Thanks

Just before your existing visa expires.

    Thanks JandM.

Does anyone know how long it's taking roughly for work visa's at the moment?
I've seen it says 25 days on the website but just wondering if anyone has applied recently etc... Thanks

That's a long time. Only took 4 days last year.
It's the Auckland Central branch that our applications are at.

then I'd say around 4 weeks, 28 working days, but then again depends very much on the application, employer, applicant, etc. No two applications are ever the same. if you are remaining in the same job and lodging a further application then an interim visa will carry you through.
