    Question Work Visa extension

    Hi everyone

I have heard an employer-assisted visa if candidate's job offer does not match with qualification, he/she might get one-year work visa in stead of two year. Is it right? As one of my friend got 1-year visa, job was a room attendant (she has completed level 7 diploma in Hospitality and applied employer-assisted). Does anyone got that kind of experience?

please share your valuable knowledge and experience..

    Regards
    Kate

An employer can sponsor a foreigner for an essential skills visa IF that employer has advertised any job, even low-skilled, liaised with the authorities, and still no NZ national or residence-holder has applied for the position, or they have, but none was suitable. https://www.immigration.govt.nz/empl...al-skills-visa
