Default Entring New Zealand for the first time on Resident Visa. Can family members enter separately at a later date?

    Hi everyone

Me and partner are going to enter New Zealand for the first time on Resident Visa.

Can I fly out of NZ and bring my son to NZ at a later date before his Resident visa expires?

    Thanks!

Yes. But be very sure to collect him while his visa is still valid - allow a week or more before the deadline, in case of travel delays, because being even HOURS over would mean he couldn't be admitted, as his residence would have lapsed. No excuses allowed at all.

Thank you JandM for the quick reply.
I am planning to bring him two weeks before the expiry of the visa. Hope it would be sufficient.
