Default Visa delayed bcoz of NZ PCC

    Hi,
Is anyone is waiting for their PCC from nz police?I had applied for essential skill work visa on 8 july and a CO contacted me on 14july where he said he is waiting for PCC from nz police which could take 30-32 days.I have not heard anythng from them yet, I am just a getting tensed up as the process is taking longer than expected.Should I contact the CO and ask him for an update? Is anyone facing the same problem?

    Thanks.

There's no point in bothering the CO. He will get on with the visa as soon as the police check comes through. He can't finalize anything until it gets there. What sort of update could he give you? - 'Yes, I'm waiting for the police check.' You know that already. All visa processing takes as long as it takes, and when the CO has to wait for some piece of evidence, he can't do anything BUT wait.

    Hi ,
I was allocated a CO for my Residence visa on July 17. I did not hear anything from her after that so I asked for an update regarding my application and she said shes waiting on the Police check and NSC. I wanted to ask, are these checks the final stage or the beginning stage of the residence process ? Cant wait for the decision
    Thanks in advance

There is no set order in which a CO has to work the necessary details of a case, so nobody can tell you what the CO will or will not have done at this stage. However, one thing I CAN tell you is that s/he can't finalize your case unless and until you have been passed by the NZ police and the NSC. S/He and you can do nothing except wait. Try to think about anything real-life that is NOT INZ for the time being.

    Hi

I am not sure what is going on with my NZ PCC, the CO had applied for it on 14 july but when I contact the call centre they say they are still waiting for NZ PCC.It has been more than 32 days, i.e. their normal framework.I am very anxious now what is going to be outcome

    Thanks.

Once again, nothing you have control over, so it should not be cause for concern. The whole system is overloaded at the moment and with huge volumes of applications, including requests for information to NZ Police, you can expect that things will take much longer than previously. There is no "normal framework".

Your post is like many others on the forum. You are getting bothered by time passing over what some authority has said is a 'normal' or 'average' time for some procedure to happen. These estimates are ONLY very rough estimates, meant to give an APPROXIMATE guideline. If a lot of cases have come through, waiting times will be longer. It doesn't mean anything.

You have no more reason NOW to be worried about the outcome of your police check than you did when INZ first sent for it. If you don't have a police record, you don't have a police record, and passing time won't make any difference to that.
