It doesn't usually take more than three weeks, if that. You're perfectly justified in contacting them to see if anything has gone astray.

thank you JandM . Do you mean that they must have forgotten to send me an ITA? I will contact them this monday and ask what is going on.i am the principle applicant for residence but i mentioned in my eoi that my wife visa got rejected two times so she is still in her her country . does that effect the chance of my eoi being delayed?

Your advice is very helpful JandM.

It doesn't definitely mean they've forgotten, no. But it's worth asking. It could be that there has been some holdup in that department of the INZ office, so all the ones from that selection have been delayed, in which case, they'll tell you. On the other hand, if they find that your ITA was sent out on x date, and you haven't got it, then they would have to suppose it had gone astray in the post, and would send you another one.

No, the issues that your wife had before would not affect your ITA being sent out. No official who works cases looks at the EOIs. They get selected by machine on the basis of the number of points claimed, then (human!) clerks look over each form, just checking that what you have written looks as though it justifies you claiming each set of points, and if it does, you get the ITA. It's only after you send back the ITA with all your evidence that, eventually (because there will be a wait in a queue first), your case is allocated to a CO, who is the one who verifies the evidence and checks out all the details.

If it should turn out, later on, that the CO doesn't think there is enough evidence to grant your wife a visa, then s/he would offer you the choice of taking your wife off your application, so that your own visa could be granted, or refusing the whole application, you as well.

Remember that, for Residence, there is a requirement to show evidence that a couple has lived together for 12 months, and that any gaps in living together are for a solid reason, and that they have kept in contact throughout the time they have been apart. Here https://www.google.co.uk/#q=site:enz...tnership+proof are old threads with discussion and suggestions about evidence of living together.

Thank you very much. your information gives the real idea of the whole scenario. My wife is not included in the application so that shoudnt be a problem. I will ring them and see what the real issue is.

Can you please also tell me i am working as a senior Baker but the skill shortage list and immediate skill shortage list defines baker on the list. so does that senior position added to my baker position affect the chances of not being granted residence.?

    Thank you

There's no official difference made between fully qualified baker, and senior baker, so that won't give you an extra tick, or anything. But the fact of your seniority in the company, the trust placed in you by your employer, will probably help the general impression made on the CO.

I would like to know once you have receive your ITA, does it men they accept your SMC application or is there any possibilities your points selected in your EOI will be reviewed or reduce?

NO, not at all. Little or no checking is done at the ITA stage and principally based on your own claims for points. Many issues arise, particularly once the details of your role is known and whether it is a substantial match to ANZSCO, where job offers are involved.

Hello Guys, I was selected on 20 July 2016 .I called Immigration today and i told them that i havent received my ITA yet and they told me to stay on hold for 10 mins and after that she tells my eoi is still on process. I even asked her when do i expect to get it then she says well we dont know. Is it common to have to wait a month for ITA. ?? Dont know how much more time its gonna take just for ITA.
