Default Need a help to answer EOI G1..

    Hi

I am new to this site.

At this time I am filling my EOI, working as a truck driver class 4. It is in the Canterbury shortage list.
Also I have worked as a truck driver in my country (Sri Lanka).

Can anyone tell me how to write the G1.. " why you believe this work experience should be recognised.." I have no idea about this, because it says we can write 3000 characters.

    Thank you
    Sumith.

How do you think you are eligible under SMC? Truck Drivers are not on the list of skilled occupations.

but not on the list of skilled occupations, which is what you need to show for a residecne application under Skilled Migrant category. Skills shortgae lists relate to temporary entry only. .

"if you meet the above requirements and have a job offer in the Canterbury region then you may be eligible to apply for an Essential Skills temporary work visa. The duration of the visa depends on the term of your job offer and labour market conditions. Essential Skills work visas are intended to fill temporary skill gaps, so they do not lead directly to a residence application"
