visa processing times

Hi all,
I have just submitted the online application for 'student and trainee work visa'. I have read that the processing times are 22 days. I would like to leave and to buy the plane ticket as soon as possible. Is'22 days the right processing time or could it take less or more time?

It's unlikely to take less, and could well take more time. Seriously, I don't think you should book your tickets until you definitely have your visa. When INZ mentions a timing, it is only ever a GUESS, not a promise.
