Medical examination (parents and grandparents)
Hi,
My parents are planning to apply for a visitor visa for NZ so that they can spend some time with us and their grandchildren. They plan to apply for a 3 year temporary stay allowing them to stay for up to 6 months (but no more than 6 months) in one year. They are coming from Macedonia. Do they need to have a medical examination certificate and chest x-ray or not?
Thank you very much.
Kind regards,
AAND

Yes, they will need them done. http://onlineservices.immigration.go...nual/46161.htm That visa would allow them to stay in NZ for 18 months (with only short breaks each six months), even if they don't intend to use it that way, so they come under the rule for staying for a year and more.
