Any degree gained as an external student has to be referred to NZQA for assessment. They will check the content to work out the NZ Level, and to see if there is any NZ qualification it is comparable to. The University of Salford's internal degrees are on the INZ list of qualifications exempt from assessment, which shows it is considered a reputable institution.

Thank you for reply, But it seems that NZQA do not approve "Distance learning degrees" at all. Today i started the process of IQA and there is only two choices are available "Full time" or " Part Time". Disappointed!

A distance learning programme is part-time. You study when in suits you, in the intervals of your other life commitments. It doesn't mean to say the study is any less rigorous.

NZQA are not to "approve" or disapprove of any degree. They simply check WHAT the person studied.

Salford provides three different routes, "full time", "Part time" and "Distance learning" . If NZQA consider "distance learning is part time " that is great and seems correct because i catched some old posts where members reported that NZQA positevly assessed their Distance Learning master degree " Level 09".
    I appreciate your opinion.

The distinctions Salford makes are for how they deliver the course. What INZ and NZQA are interested in are whether the applicant studied by being a student the whole time, or not.
