    Default Salary and payments

    Hi. If im on a salary for 40hrs a week and what ever is reasonably hours over that is needed to achieve my work load. If I work 38hrs in four days worked and take a sick day before my six months is up to get sick leave can my employer take eight hours off my salary for a sick day?

    Legally, yes. I suppose it's at the descretion of your employer and possibly industry.

    Most contracts stipulate the hours a day your contract expects you to operate within (typically 8-6 with up to 1 hour unpaid lunch)...
