Work Visa

What's the longest you've had to wait for a work visa? I have been invited to apply for residency but my work visa ran out at the weekend. I'm on an interim visa but seems to be taking ages to approve my new work visa.

Hi when did you apply for your work visa? I applied 1/8/2016 and it hasnt come thru yet. Everytime i call they say its on process.

Oh I applied on 24th August. Guess I am just being impatient Best of luck

Is it worth ringing? It takes soo long to get through just to be told there is nothing I can do but wait. Tired of waiting :/

Ringing up and asking will make no difference whatsoever. Your cases haven't been forgotten, and everything will be dealt with, in order.

Everyone gets tired of waiting. Try not to take it personally. Waiting is something that happens to everybody who is in the hands of INZ, a giant government bureaucracy, which at present has a huge amount of work, so the cases queue till it's their turn for attention.
