Hi everyone! Just a heads up it looks like all the applications in the London office are being sent to New Zealand if they do not have a CO assigned yet. I received the letter below today. Hopefully this doesn't delay things too much!

In April 2016, Immigration New Zealand announced that the New Zealand Residence Programme (NZRP) would be centralised and processed in New Zealand and this transfer would occur progressively. Since this announcement, all residence processing from Shanghai, including Family and Skilled Migrant Residence applications, has been transferred to New Zealand for processing. The next phase of centralised residence processing will involve Family Residence applications processed in the London Area Office. These applications will be transferred to the Auckland region for processing and submission from 10 October 2016.

As you will be aware, your application is currently pending allocation to an immigration officer in the London Office. However your application will no longer be processed at the London Office and has been transferred to the Manukau Office in New Zealand for assessment. It is expected that your application will be allocated to an immigration officer for assessment within 1 – 4 months. We appreciate that this will cause a delay in an outcome for you. If you have any questions, you can:

* call our Immigration Contact Centre on 0508 55 88 55 or 09 914 4100, or for those outside of New Zealand +64 9 914 4100, or
* find answers to frequently asked questions or lodge an email enquiry online at www.immigration.govt.nz/help.
